Day one

Well here I am, it’s nearly 11pm and I am actually writing the first post in my new blog. I say new blog because I have set up two before but never actually done anything with them after the first week as I get bored really easy and run out of things to say. This time it’s going to be different though as this time I have a purpose and a goal; I am hoping this place will keep me on the straight and narrow whilst trying to lose weight.

I have tried losing weight before, tried all sorts from slim fast to starvation but nothing has worked in the long term. I lost four stone a couple of years ago on an all fruit diet which was great but as soon as I started eating “normal” food again I piled it all back on.

Over the past six months I have lost nearly three stone just through changing how and when I eat but I need it to come off quicker. My dietician recommended the Cambridge Diet and as it was something I had looked at any way I decided to give a go. That was over six weeks ago and thanks to my crap GP and their inadequate staff it has taken this long just to get a form signed so I can get going.

That leads pretty much up until today. It’s been a bit of a weird day as it was the fourth anniversary of my mom’s death. The years have flown by and I still miss her as much now as I ever did, I don’t think that will ever change, I don’t think I have really dealt with it yet, who knows, this place might even help with that.

One good thing has come out of today though and that was The Cambridge Counsellor is back off her holiday so we are finally meeting up next Wednesday and I can finally get going on the road to slimdom.

Well I think that’s about it for now, I hope you come back and support me because believe me I think I am going to need it!
